The Absolute E-Z Up Difference

Our company was founded on three basic values:

Low Level Access Lifts Folly Beach, SC

Safety - The Top Time Booster

When workers are injured, they're either placed on light duty or leave until they heal up and get back to work. This leaves you with the conundrum do you hire a new worker (which requires an initial expense) or reassign members of your staff to make up the difference? Obviously, neither situation is optimal. The biggest factor preventing these kinds of frustrating situations is workplace safety, which is why it's our top priority at AEUP. It doesn't matter if you buy a manual platform lift in Folly Beach, SC, or an electric stock picker. You can rest easy when you purchase equipment from us, knowing that AEUP aerial work platforms and material handling equipment come with the most innovative safety technologies.

A few of those safety mechanisms include:

  • Anti-tilt systems, helping to prevent toppling and turnovers.
  • Built-in pothole protection for driving equipment.
  • Double-foot sensors, which halts the machine from operating unless two feet are planted on the sensors.

Note: Depending on your needs, your machinery may or may not include some of these safety technologies. Please refer to specific product pages for more details.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCSC/AP) - Joe Cunningham has chosen a civil litigator who flew combat missions in Iraq to be his running mate.

Cunningham is trying to become South Carolina’s first Democratic governor in 20 years. He previewed his pick of Tally Parham Casey ahead of a formal announcement Monday in her hometown of Greenville.

Cunningham told The Associated Press that Casey’s military service, legal savvy and the fact that she’s a woman make her the right fit.

Casey was South Carolina’s first female fighter pilot, serving three combat tours over Iraq. She served in the South Carolina Air National Guard’s 157th Squadron and is a veteran of three combat tours in Iraq. In addition to her standout military career, Tally has also been an attorney for over 20 years. In 2017, she was elected as Chair of Wyche, P.A. in Columbia, SC, where she started practicing in 2000 and became a shareholder in 2008.

She called the announcement an “incredible honor and privilege.”

“I have long admired Joe’s bipartisan approach to governing and believe he is exactly what South Carolina needs as governor,” Casey said. “Joe is a regular guy who has the guts to say what we’re all thinking. He doesn’t play by traditional political rules and he doesn’t toe any party line. He’s honest, sincere, and he represents a new generation of leadership - the kind of leadership our state and nation desperately need. I am so excited to continue my service to South Carolina as our next Lieutenant Governor. Over the next few months I look forward to traveling throughout our state to showcase our vision for a more free and prosperous South Carolina.”

Cunningham called Casey the “perfect pick” for a lieutenant governor.

Tally Casey represents the very best of South Carolina,” Cunningham said. “As the first female fighter pilot in the South Carolina Air National Guard with three tours of duty over Iraq, Tally is a trailblazer who has courageously fought for our freedoms abroad. Now I have asked her to help me fight for our freedoms here at home. Her talent and leadership have earned her countless accolades, including being selected by her colleagues as CEO of the Wyche Law Firm, one of the oldest and most prominent law firms in the state. Simply put, there is nothing Tally Casey cannot do. I am so excited to have her on this ticket and I can’t wait for the voters of South Carolina to meet their next Lieutenant Governor.”

Casey was one of nine possible running mates in a list the Cunningham camp released on June 18.

She beat out three of the candidates who were from the Lowcountry: State Rep. Spencer Wetmore (D-Charleston), a former prosecutor and city administrator of Folly Beach; chief marketing officer of Burr & Forman LLP and former state senate nominee Kathryn Whitaker; and Air Force pilot, commercial realtor and former state House nominee Ed Sutton.

Cunningham said the person he chooses would “be ready to lead on day one.”

“Our ticket will represent the future of South Carolina and the amazing potential of our state,” he said in a statement. “I am committed to selecting a qualified, visionary leader to join our team and help usher in a new generation of leadership for South Carolina.”

Cunnigham plans to hold a kickoff event Monday afternoon at the Greenville Convention Center to formally present Casey as his running mate. That event is set to take place at 5:30 p.m.

It is my great honor to name Tally Parham Casey as my running mate. A native of Greenville, Tally was the first female fighter pilot in the history of the SC Air National Guard and is a veteran of three combat tours over Iraq. Of pancakes and commitments: The story behind Markee Anderson’s sweet decision day

With a public announcement looming, Lance Robinson was brainstorming for a unique way for his son Markee Anderson to reveal his college choice.

Then, it hit Robinson as the family was driving down to Folly Beach last week for a vacation.

“Why not do a pancake theme for a commitment?” Robinson said Sunday shortly after Anderson announced a commitment to play college football for the South Carolina Gamecocks. “It would be good because you are an offensive lineman. It can all go together. He liked it, my wife liked, so she all put it together and we had it going down today.”

Anderson, a standout offensive tackle for Dorman High School, revealed his decision Sunday for South Carolina by pouring a bottle of syrup onto a stack of pancakes — that syrup bottle boasted a Gamecocks logo.

“We tried to do something different,” Robinson said. “Most kids, they have hats or shirts and they do the deal. We figured, since he is an offensive lineman, let’s do something different.”

Recruits are known to get creative with their college announcements. On Friday, four-star receiver Aidan Mizzell pulled out two live Gators to announce his commitment to Florida.

But pulling out a live Gamecock to reveal his choice didn’t seem to fit the hulking 6-foot-5, 305-pound Anderson.

Pancakes and offensive linemen are synonymous with each other. Linemen don’t record stats like most offensive and defensive players, so pancake blocks — in which a lineman delivers a block so big that a defender ends up flat on his back — are one way to measure their production.

According to SportsRec, “pancake block” was first used by the University of Pittsburgh to describe All-America offensive tackle Bill Fralic’s blocking prowess in the 1980s. The school’s media relations department labeled the blocks as “pancakes,” and high schools, colleges and the NFL still use the term.

Dorman assistant coach Jake Morris wasn’t sure how many pancakes Anderson recorded last season for the Cavaliers as a junior, saying, “It was a lot.” But Morris thought the pancake-and-syrup idea went perfectly with Anderson’s personality.

“It fits. He likes to eat,” Morris said. “South Carolina is getting a great offensive lineman, but they are getting a great young man. He leads on and off the field.”

About an hour before the ceremony, four bottles of syrup with the logos of each of his final schools — South Carolina, Clemson, LSU and North Carolina — were onstage with him at Kingdom Builders Baptist Church.

The bottles were opened and seals were removed minutes before the ceremony. Then, a small stack of pancakes made by Anderson’s mother, Tawana Robinson, was put on the table as the family took their seats.

After remarks were made by a few speakers, Anderson announced his choice by grabbing the Gamecocks bottle and pouring the syrup over the pancakes and saying, “Go Cocks.”

“We tried to think of stuff on the fly, and I liked this idea the most,” Anderson said. “My dad came up with it and we just rolled with it.”

Cooking is an important part of Anderson’s family. Lance Robinson runs the popular 365 Grillin & Seafood food truck in Spartanburg. Anderson said he doesn’t help out too much on the cooking; he assists mainly in prep and set-up. His specialty comes in making breakfast, especially omelets, he said.

Gamecock fans should get used to seeing the truck make it down to Williams-Brice Stadium on gamedays starting in 2023 once Anderson is officially on the South Carolina roster. Robinson even joked about a possible name, image and likeness deal with Markee for the business.

“We’re already are making plans,” Robinson said. “Gamecock Nation, when you see that truck, pull up. We have great food, great seafood. We have it all. Great tailgate, all day. We are very excited that Markee is a Gamecock.”

FLORENCE, S.C. (WPDE) — Federal prosecutors on Friday filed a motion to seize property of Tiger King star and Myrtle Beach Safari owner Bhagavan "Doc" Antle.

According to the records, officials are requesting a judge allow them to take property located at 917 Folly Road in Horry County.

That is not address of the Myrtle Beach Safari, but a plot of land that is near the roadside zoo, also owned by Antle.

The document does not outline what federal prosecutors would be looking for at the property.

Antle has pled not guilty to a number of charges, including most recently a 10-count indictment for money laundering and wildlife trafficking.

On July 13, Antle appeared for a plea hearing where he didn't say much, except that he understood the nature of the charges against him.

He has been out of jail on bond, those conditions include:

Andrew Jon Sawyer a/k/a Omar Sawyer, 52, of Myrtle Beach, Meredith Bybee, a/k/a Moksha Bybee, 51, of Myrtle Beach, Charles Sammut, 61, of Salinas, California and Jason Clay, 42, of Franklin, Texas is also charged in the indictment.

Sawyer and Bybee are Antle’s employees and business associates.

Sammut is the owner and operator of Vision Quest Ranch, a for-profit corporation that housed captive exotic species and sold tours and safari experiences to guests. Clay is the owner and operator of the Franklin Drive Thru Safari, a for-profit corporation that housed captive exotic species and sold tours and safari experiences to guests.

The indictment alleges that Antle, at various times along with Bybee, Sammut, and Clay, illegally trafficked wildlife in violation of federal law, including the Lacey Act and the Endangered Species Act, and made false records regarding that wildlife.

The indictment and a previously-filed federal complaint in the case also allege that over the last several months, Antle and Sawyer laundered more than $500,000 in cash they believed to be the proceeds of an operation to smuggle illegal immigrants across the Mexican border into the United States.

The filings allege that Antle had used bulk cash receipts to purchase animals for which he could not use checks and that Antle planned to conceal the cash he received by inflating tourist numbers at the Myrtle Beach Safari.

Antle and Sawyer each face a maximum of 20 years in federal prison for the charges related to money laundering, and up to five years in federal prison for the charges related to wildlife trafficking. Bybee, Sammut, and Clay each face up to five years in federal prison for the charges related to wildlife trafficking.

One of Antle's lawyers, Ryan Beasley, said Antle loves his animals and is ready for his day in court.

“Doc, he’s very happy to obviously be back at home and to be able to care for his animals. And, if anybody has ever been to where he works and lives, those animals are treated better than most humans. So it’s not about any kind of cruelty to animals. These are little technical issues. That the government is trying to get him on. We look forward to having our day in court," said Beasley.

Antle is expected to appear for a pre-trial conference on August 30.

New ‘No Toys Left Behind Bin’ on IOP encourages everyone to keep beach clean

A sandcastle is evidence of a day well spent on the beach. Plastic shovels and buckets are commonplace on the Isle of Palms as children collaborate to create the perfect sand sculptures. But when the time comes to leave the beach, the tools that brought an afternoon of small-scale seaside construction are often left on the shore in a hurry to pack up and get home.

The Isle of Palms Cleanup Crew and the City of Isle of Palms teamed up to introduce a playful solution to coastal pollution by creating an official “No Toys Left Behind Bin” at Front Beach. The No Toys Left Behind Bin is located in a nook alongside the public beach access in the 1100 block of Palm Boulevard, between the outdoor showers and Coconut Joe’s.

The toy bin is a place for anyone who finds forgotten toys on the beach to add them to the bin so they can be shared and reused by more families — with the expectation that they won’t be left behind on the beach again.

Susan Hill Smith, a co-founder of the IOP Cleanup Crew, said that the crew has seen a large volume of toys left behind on the beaches during their weekly litter sweeps. They wanted a place to put intact toys so they don’t end up in the trash or swept out to sea.

“There’s a real potential for them to become pollution. And for them to be washed into the ocean. And then where they can become harmful to wildlife and even get broken up into microplastics which are also another issue that we are concerned about,” Smith said.

“The City is glad to see Isle of Palms Cleanup Crew use the space as a focal point for their litter sweeps and other conservation initiatives,” City Administrator Desiree Fragoso said. “The new toy bin is an excellent example of our collaboration and a fun addition to Front Beach as we all work together to keep the coast clean.”

In 2021, IOP Cleanup Crew’s volunteers, along with other individuals and groups collectively picked up more than 1,200 toys from the Isle of Palms beach, which they documented with the South Carolina Aquarium’s Litter-Free Digital Journal.

Sarah Parker Daniel walks the beach every morning and has been doing so for years. She started collecting left-behind toys after seeing how many toys litter the beaches. Daniel said she picks up no less than a dozen forgotten beach toys on her walks.

“The volume of toys that people leave behind, it’s abysmal. I mean, it’s so disturbing to know that all people do is they ... just get this huge bundle of toys and because they’re so cheap, I guess they just leave them right where they were. They just walk away and all the toys are still there,” Daniel said.

The idea for the toy bin came from a similar effort at the Wild Dunes Resort and community beach. It is part of a trend that other coastal communities, including Folly Beach and Tybee Island, Georgia, have adopted as they grapple with an overwhelming number of forgotten beach toys that can quickly turn into litter and trash.

The No Toys Left Behind bin offers a place for Daniel and other litter collectors to put toys and a sustainable option for visiting families that want to play in the sand. Smith hopes that in time, beachgoers looking to build a sand castle will think of the toy bin before buying a cheap bundle of toys that are likely to be forgotten.

“It could be a fun thing for families to take advantage of. When they’re coming to the Front Beach area to know that there’s probably going to be some toys in the bin that their kids could use,” Smith said.
