The Absolute E-Z Up Difference

Our company was founded on three basic values:

Low Level Access Lifts North Charleston, SC

Safety - The Top Time Booster

When workers are injured, they're either placed on light duty or leave until they heal up and get back to work. This leaves you with the conundrum do you hire a new worker (which requires an initial expense) or reassign members of your staff to make up the difference? Obviously, neither situation is optimal. The biggest factor preventing these kinds of frustrating situations is workplace safety, which is why it's our top priority at AEUP. It doesn't matter if you buy a manual platform lift in North Charleston, SC, or an electric stock picker. You can rest easy when you purchase equipment from us, knowing that AEUP aerial work platforms and material handling equipment come with the most innovative safety technologies.

A few of those safety mechanisms include:

  • Anti-tilt systems, helping to prevent toppling and turnovers.
  • Built-in pothole protection for driving equipment.
  • Double-foot sensors, which halts the machine from operating unless two feet are planted on the sensors.

Note: Depending on your needs, your machinery may or may not include some of these safety technologies. Please refer to specific product pages for more details.

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Heavy rains and flooding have cost one North Charleston family thousands of dollars in repairs. They say their whole street suffers from consistent water damage, and they want to see the city make changes to the drainage system.

Jesus Mori and his wife have lived in their house on Ranger Drive since 2007. He says the flooding has cost them thousands of dollars out of pocket in damages.

“We have a lot of problems with the furniture; we replaced the carpet the first time it got wet,” Mori says. “I said we have to fix it with tile. The problem is cleaning up everything, replacing the kitchen cabinets.”

They have replaced flooring, cabinets and their air conditioning unit twice in the past 15 years, all from water damage.

“After a year there was a lot of rain, and a lot of water was going under the house,” Mori says.

The couple replaced an AC unit with water damage under the house for more than $3,000 soon after they moved in. Only a few years later, they say the flooding again caused so much damage they needed to replace the unit. This time, they say they spent $8,000 to put the system equipment in the attic.

He says the couple used to have flood insurance but after a few years the rates got so high, that they couldn’t afford to keep it and ended up paying for repairs out of pocket. Mori says the street fills with water too.

“No cars can drive in the street because the water is too high,” Mori says. “But the neighbors know, this time we decided we have too much damage and paid too much money. My neighbor says he’s called to the city too. The city says the last days had many calls with the same problems.”

North Charleston spokesperson Ryan Johnson says the Public Works department has had 24 work orders for Ranger Drive, just in the month of July, for drainage-related issues. All have been completed but five.

He says debris in the drains is the main culprit, and the city is working to clear them out. He reminds people to be mindful of littering and leaving garbage out, saying that will help in the future once the city clears the pipes.

“I wish this time it is fixed for the final time because it is a lot of trouble,” Mori says. He says the city told him workers will be in the neighborhood for the rest of the week finishing work orders and looking into the drainage system.

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - More than 800 people have signed a petition to save a running track that is likely to be eliminated because of new editions at a North Charleston facility.

Improvements coming to the Danny Jones Athletic Facility will include a new aquatics center and a gymnasium. But with the new additions, City of North Charleston spokesperson Ryan Johnson said the footprint of the building will increase, leading to space constraints on the site, which will eliminate the track itself.

Johnson said the football field currently at the site will remain.

An area running club, the Park Circle Pacers, has 300 members, including 100 active members. They practice at the Danny Jones track regularly for their Tuesday evening workouts. Members of the group say that losing the track would be a huge loss for not only them, but for the whole community.

A walking and biking trail will surround the site, but members say that’s not enough.

Member Erin Atkinson said the track provides safety features that you can’t get while running on the street or sidewalks.

“The hazards that I see every day, between sidewalks not being cleared, having debris or trash there, motorists not paying attention, or sometimes being hostile towards runners or walkers,” Atkinson said. “Having an area like this where you can just focus on your workout and getting in some fitness without having to worry about your safety is key.”

Brian Johnson is a cross country and track and field coach at Academic Magnet. To Johnson, losing the track would make it harder for his team to get to a facility to practice since the track is close to their school now.

“So many times, you have teenagers traveling to go practice somewhere,” Johnson said. “That adds a liability.”

Michelle Huntley isn’t part of the running group but lives a half mile away in Park Circle. She said when she walks or drives by the track, she sees people utilizing it morning, noon, and night.

“You just don’t see that with other recreation facilities, something that’s used so frequently,” Huntley said.

The city said the projected completion time for the project is late 2023.

“To lose this track would be a travesty,” said Lionel Adams, at-large director for the Road Runners Club of America. “We just can’t see this empowering everyone to run if this is missing.”

Members say they plan on speaking at the next North Charleston City Council meeting.

The North Charleston all-stars were unable to get past the team out of Southland, Louisiana during the 2022 Dixie Baseball Pre-Majors (15-16) World Series.

After claiming the South Carolina state championship, North Charleston traveled to Sterlington, Louisiana for the world series July 22-25. North Charleston went 3-2 in the tournament, falling twice to eventual tournament champion Southland.

North Charleston, a team comprised of players from across the Lowcountry, had some momentum entering the third day having already defeated the state champions from Mississippi and Texas. However, Southland edged out North Charleston 6-5 on July 24.

Griffin Chilcote had the start on the mound but RJ Hamilton and Jackson Brown did most of the pitching for North Charleston. The two relievers combined to strike out six batters while walking four, but their efforts weren’t enough to keep the Southland offense at bay.

North Charleston scored three runs in the first inning on four Southland errors and a double by Matthew Knobe. Cam Avery drove in one of the other runs.

DJ Drayton had a triple in the second and scored off a single by Jackson Christopher. North Charleston added one more run the next inning as Brown led off with a double and scored off a single from Donovan Johnson to put North Charleston ahead 5-2. However, the Southland batters found their grove during the later innings.

The next day, North Charleston defeated the Florida state champion 5-4.

Avery pitched the first two and one-third innings. Jackson Brindle relieved him and closed the game. Brindle surrendered only two hits and one run while walking no batters in route to picking up the pitching win.

Brindle reached on a walk in the first inning and moved to third on a passed ball and a sacrifice fly from Drew Moore. Brindle then scored on another passed ball to leave Florida with a 3-1 lead entering the second.

North Charleston pulled ahead 4-3 in the third. Avery pushed two runs across with a triple to right field that scored Brindle and Moore. Avery then came home on a balk.

Florida tied the game in the fifth.

North Charleston put a runner on third base the next inning with a bunt single by Johnson, sacrifice bunt by Christopher and sacrifice hit by Drayton, but failed to push the run across.

The bottom of the seventh inning began with a pop fly that was secured by the shortstop. Avery then hit a double to left field. Brown followed with a walkoff single that scored Avery for the 5-4 victory.

The win left North Charleston only a win away from the finals, but it would have to avenge its prior loss in order to get there. The next day North Charleston was eliminated with a 9-2 loss to Southland, which went on to defeat Sterlington to clinch the championship.
